Volunteers have played an important and indispensable role in the Danang International Marathon 2024’s success. Join us to experience, make new friends and become tourism ambassadors for Da Nang, bringing culture and people to all participants.
The race is currently open for registration for:
- Z Team – Young Volunteer Group
- S Team – Volunteer Group aged 45 and above
VOLUNTEER LEADER
- Working in a dynamic and professional environment.
- Improve soft skills and provide adequate knowledge through training sessions.
- Receive an E-Certificate* after a job well done.
- Volunteer insurance.
- Share and learn from fellow volunteers and experts of the Event.
- Food during the event days.
- T-shirts and other items for the event day.
- Be prioritized to participate in Pulse Active’s next events.
- Expenses for event support days.
*E-Certificate for the purpose of reducing paper and protecting the environment.
- Committed to support until the event ends.
- Experienced in Volunteering activities.
- Being able to communicate in English.
- Ability to lead.
- Ability to speak in public.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Aged 18 years and older.
- Participate in all the event’s training sessions.
- Participate in all the event’s training sessions.
- Before the event, contact and connect volunteers in the group.
- During the event, manage volunteers in the designated area. Report and update the situation to the team leaders or the Organizers.
- After the event, give the benefits of the event to volunteers according to the time set by the Organizers.

VOLUNTEER

- Follow the instructions of the team leader and the organizers.
- Follow the event and make sure to complete the job well on the day of the event.
EVENT SITE TEAM
- Race Kit Pickup Teams: assist in distributing the kit to the runners according to their running distance and information.
- Event Site Team: Support the organizers for the work at the event area such as stage, bag drop counters, water stations, …
- Medical team: Support medical staff to take care of runners along the track and at the medical station.
- Logistic team: Support to bring volunteers to the race route and transport the items to volunteers.
START/ FINISH TEAM
- Start team: guiding the runners to the correct starting pen to start in turns and coordinate runners.
- Finish team: Support the work in the area to the finish line: Give medals to runners, guide them to the cool-down area, take care and support directly to top runners.
RACE ROUTE TEAM
- Marshal: guide and make sure they are in their right lane.
- Supporters: prepare and distribute water and electrolyte, as well as nutritious food to the runners and support the medical team.
- Cheering: cheer the runners on and encourage them to complete the race.

Volunteering for elders at Marathon races are common activities abroad and are implemented at major marathons worldwide, such as New York City, Sydney, Boston, etc. For the first time in Vietnam, the Danang International Marathon 2024 is opening registration for volunteers over 45 years old. This will be an opportunity for the people of Danang to contribute to local activities, promote the city’s image, and connect with people from all over.
Senior volunteers will assist in race-related tasks at suitable positions and times. Encourage your parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents to join you!
